The Department of Statistics has quite graciously and expediently responded to my request to be provided with the employment brief tabulations in a more workable format. They’ve been kind enough to provide tabulation data going back to 2004 which should open up many possibilities for analysis of the numbers in the coming weeks.

Hey Denis, If you have the stats could you do an analysis using the median rather than the mean?
I’d appreciate seeing how that affects the findings.
