Renaissance Man

Personally, my friend, I always thought this one summed you up best.

“This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

William Shakespeare (Hamlet)

FWIW, Alsys started posting quotes first, and deserves credit.

Denis

I chose the quote by William Penn as it is one of my favorites with regards to arguing for greater democracy.

The greater hand people have in governance, the easier it is to govern the people.

However, that quote can also be interpreted in our present context such that the PLP has convinced the people that they govern via the means of elected representatives and thus they are governed. The UBP has been rather clueless in understanding that they could improve their situation if they did more to convince the people that they don't actually have much say in governance. However, to do such a thing the UBP would have to actually embrace greater involvement of the people. Something they seem less likely than the PLP to do.
