Wait… who chose the Premier?

Ok, so I love the article in today’s gazette where Premier Brown discusses the “long overdue” change in the way Bermuda’s political parties decide election candidates.  While the process of polling a constituency to see who they favor the most is a welcome change over the typical forcing of a candidate, Premier Brown’s quote does makes me laugh.

“Bermuda has recently witnessed how dysfunctional a political organization eventually becomes when power brokers operating as a controlling clique are permitted to call the shots on who should lead”

It must be just me but this sounds an awful lot like how our latest Premier was appointed…

People’s government they claim?,they don’t give a rats ass about anyone except themselves.
Brown and his gang are using time-tested tactics to close down an open society. From Hitler to Chavez, history shows there are steps any would-be dictator must take to destroy constitutional freedoms.
